The idea behind Oniiva

Being between roles isn’t a label. It’s a phase — one that more and more professionals go through multiple times during their careers. Yet many still navigate it alone, without structure, without the right network, and without access to early support.

Oniiva’s founders have experienced career transitions under very different conditions — from structured outplacement programmes to periods with no support at all. The same pattern kept repeating: the real barrier is rarely competence. It’s access, momentum, and environment.

Some professionals get structured guidance and strong networks from day one. Others are left to figure it out on their own. That gap shouldn’t exist.

Oniiva was created to close that gap and make meaningful support accessible to anyone in career transition, from day one.

Our goal is simple: to shorten the path back to meaningful work while preserving confidence, dignity, and momentum along the way.

At a time when more and more career tools are automated and impersonal, we’ve deliberately chosen a different path. Not because technology lacks value — but because what actually changes a career transition can’t be automated: real people, in real conversations, who see each other, challenge each other, and keep each other moving.

What we believe

Being between roles is a natural part of modern working life — not a failure. Yet many are left to navigate that phase alone, without structure, without the right network, and without early support.

Access to that shouldn’t depend on who you know or what your previous employer offered. The right format, the right group, and shared collaboration change both how the process feels — and how fast it moves.

What we do today

We start with what creates real momentum: structured, carefully matched peer groups — Oniiva Career Cohorts.

Small groups of professionals in career transition meet weekly to create accountability, exchange insights, and keep each other moving. This isn’t a passive forum. It’s an active environment designed to create clarity, progress, and ultimately a shorter path to the next role.

We’re currently running a limited pilot programme as we refine the model ahead of a broader launch. Participation is free.
